We Are Words + Pictures
We Are Words + Pictures work to distribute small press comics to brand new audiences by any means necessary. That mean’s we’re an occasional market stall, a Mobile Library, roving lecturers and sometimes editors who brin a selection of comics and ‘zines to music festivals, village fairs, art galleries and schools and anywhere else that will take us. We’re open to any opportunity to get new work into fresh hands.
In 2008 I co-founded WAW+P as a small-press comics collective working on solo and group projects, coming together to exhibit at zine and mini-comic shows throughout the year. With Julia Scheele and Sarah Gordon I helped create two well-received mini-comics (The Robot ‘zine and The Covers’ EP). It relaunched in Septemeber 2009, and was joined by Mark Higgins.
